MRB - Live from Falls Creek
This past weekend Ali and I travelled to Davis, OK to see our friends in the Matt Roberson Band play at Falls Creek. You can find a previous blog about the Matt Roberson Band HERE. Falls Creek is a huge camp in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma. They have a new 6,000+ seat auditorium and dozen’s of church-owned cabins that go on for acres and acres. I never went to camp at Falls Creek as I primarily was an FCA camper/counselor. The new auditorium is simply incredible and I was granted all-access clearance, including the catwalk. I brought my new monopod in an attempt to get some cool “dangling” shots from the catwalk. You will see a few of them in this set. I only had a bout 5 songs to get 100 shots so I was flying all over the place. I primarily shot the event with my Canon 5D Mark III and 7D bodies with the following lenses: Canon 24-105mm, Canon 8-15mm fisheye, Canon 70-200mm 2.8 IS II, Canon 200mm F2.0 IS. The Matt Roberson Band played a great set and then we cruised around camp a little bit in a golf cart to harass all of the high school kids. We drove back the next morning and I shot a wedding with Ali for one of our staff members. Those photos will be posted in the next week or two. It’s been an incredibly busy month and I’m desperately trying to catch up on blogs. The Disney World blog is next and I’m really excited to post those photos! We are doing a lot of traveling as well as shooting races in the next few months so the blogs will just keep coming. I’m also looking to finally pick up the new Canon 1D X! Happy Shooting! -Barnezy-
