Oklahoma Joe’s BBQ opens in Broken Arrow, OK

Yesterday Oklahoma Joe’s BBQ opened in Broken Arrow, OK.  This is easily the best thing to ever happen to the city of Broken Arrow.  (Well at least since we’ve lived here!)  As many of you know, we spent the last four years in Kansas City while I was in chiropractic school.  Shortly after arriving to…

Mala - Dear Oklahoma Joe’s

The Pride of Broken Arrow would like to extend a sincere thank you for your generosity in providing meals to our organization this year.  We appreciate your kindness tremendously and would like for you to know that with your help we were able to provide our members with wonderful food and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it.  Thank you again for your willingness to help!

The Grand Architect of this Website - In regards to Camp Quest’s attack on Oklahoma Joe’s…

There was no discrimination. Joe felt as if he was deceived as the flyers being handed out the night of the incident were not what he had signed off on. He should have done his homework and known more about camp Quest and their mission but he had no idea what the terms “free-thinking” and
“humanist” meant. He was put into a bad situation and had to go with his conscience. I’m sure if you were put in a similar situation most people would have not gone against their conscience as Joe did. He had every right to do what he did. He did NOT ask people to leave. He even refunded the 10% donations for the quest people to use as they pleased. The supporters of Camp Quest have launched an all-out assault on Joe’s character and business. I don’t find that humanist at all. It was a bad deal for both parties and I’m sure Joe won’t let such an oversight happen again. The case people are making is utter nonsense. Joe wouldn’t trick an organization into thinking they could come to his place and then pull the plug on them to collect an extra $70-100 (what the actual fundraiser would have made). That’s ridiculous.
