This past weekend my wife and I travelled to Lawton, OK to visit my parents. My parents moved to Lawton in April to start the all-new Jim Glover Chevrolet dealership. This is the first time my parents have lived anywhere but the Tulsa metropolitan area so it’s a bit of a change for them. My parents don’t care too much for parts of Lawton but they love the beauty of the Wichita mountains nearby. We drove through the Wichita mountains and saw tons of wildlife. We ate a longhorn “Meersburger” at the world-famous Meers restaurant. We checked out the all-new Jim Glover Chevrolet Lawton dealership which is a beautiful state-of-the-art facility. Mom wanted me to take some photos of their new home so I spent a morning documenting their beautiful custom-built home. The home was built 21 years ago and was way ahead of it’s time. The house is breathtaking and provides a wonderful refuge after a long day in the hot Lawton sun. It was a great weekend spent with family and I’m sure we’ll be back to visit sometime this fall. I know most people aren’t crazy about Lawton, but there truly are some beautiful places surrounding the town and it may not be that bad of a place to live after all. -Barnezy-
