Union Tuttle Stadium… My old stomping ground

This past weekend I had the opportunity to shoot some pics at the Union vs Edmond North football game at Union Tuttle Stadium.  My future business partner’s son is a senior at Union and since this was his last game at Union Tuttle Stadium I figured I’d try to get some pics.  Coach Fridrich, the head coach got me a sideline pass so getting close to the action was easy.  With all of the photos I knew I was going to have to process from this past weekend’s Route 66 Marathon, I did not want to have 1000 images from this football game.  I shot a few hundred pics during the first half and came up with some nice images.  The stadium lights were bright but I wanted absolutely NO blur in my images.  I shot at 1/1000 sec for most of the game and shot the images at 3200 ISO on my Canon 1d Mark III w/ Canon 200mm f.2 onboard.  I’m astonished at the low levels of noise.  There is some softening of the images, but these look astonishing for 1/1000 of a second!  I’ve got a ton of images processed from the marathon and an hours worth of video from a wedding I shot this past weekend, but I’m done with boards so life is down hill from here!!!  Check back for soon for the marathon images and the wedding video that will most likely be the finest work I’ve done with video to date.  It’s getting cold outside, I need a fireplace! -Barnezy-
