Mike and Melanie’s Wedding

Yesterday my wife and I shot Mike and Melanie’s wedding in Lees Summit, MO and today I’m posting the photos. I finished them in 18 hours, that’s probably a new record for me. I do my best to be faster than any other wedding photographer out there, and next day is pretty incredible! Given, I don’t do as much post-processing as most pros. I like the majority of my photos to look natural. 10 years from now, the photoshop action photos of today may just look plain stupid, but natural photos will always be in style! Off of the soap box – on to the wedding.  I met Mike and Melanie through my wife as she has taught with Melanie for the past three years. Ali and I shot their engagement photos earlier this year and have been looking forward to their wedding.  It was a sweltering 100 degrees or so but we were able to find a few shady spots outside.  I took a few traditional posed photos since there were lots of family present who wanted photos with the couple.  I’m trying to do a mix of posed formals with grandparents and more contemporary group shots with the bridesmaids and groomsmen.  I have another wedding next Saturday, making it three weekends in a row.  I’m also shooting the Route 66 quarter marathon in the morning the same day.  Next weekend is going to be ridiculous!  I’m looking forward to the fall where I can focus primarily on seeing patients at Cleveland Chiropractic College!  Clinic has been a blast so far and I’m making some great progress with several of my patients!  I can’t wait to get in the real world… I hear you actually get paid.  Crazy!  -Barnezy-
