I saw my first patients yesterday!

It’s been a long road since I first decided I wanted to be a chiropractor. Yesterday marked yet another milestone on my way to becoming a chiropractor. I saw three student patients for the first time! Despite having shoulder surgery just three weeks ago, I was able to successfully treat my patients. I’ve got a few unique cases so I think this trimester will be a great learning experience for me. I’m humbled by all of the students who have put trust in me for their care. Filling out the paperwork correctly and getting the clinicians to sign off on what I want to do is the hardest part. I’m so thankful that I’ve put the time into develop my manual adjusting/soft tissue treatment skills so that the paperwork is the only thing I have to worry about. I’m so thankful for my wife who has supported us in such a way that I have been able to go to a ton of seminars these past two years. I’ll be entering the outpatient clinic in May and will be back in Tulsa for an internship with Dr. Michael Peterson in January of next year.  The end is finally in sight and this year will be one of the most important years of my life so far.  Like I said, it’s been a long road to get here and it’s nice to pause and look back on all of the great things that have happened along the way.  Here’s a photo of me in front of the new Cleveland Chiropractic Campus in the Spring of 2007.
